The word Dorje is used in many contexts within Vajrayana to symbolise power, indestructibility, authenticity, and essential clarity. For example, the vajra master (dorje löpon – rDo rJe sLob dPon; Sanskrit: vajra charya) is adamantine with regard to their total clarity and immutability in the context of Dharma, and is a penetrating thunderbolt with regard to the dualistic rationale.
